Outdoor Webbing Collection SS 16-17-18
Created when I was R&D in Lizard footwear.
Challenge
Design series of patterns for the SS16-17-18 collections of sandals, with nylon/polyester webbing uppers that are appropriate for both man and woman models. The collections reflect an outdoor culture, but also the comfort of the city life.
Outcome
After trend analysis and inspiration research, I proposed a series of patterns inspired by modern abstract art, optical illusions, city maps and the ethnic motifs elevated in a modern way. All colours were selected from seasonal palettes.
Abstract art collection
Width: 20-25 mm
Moodboard: the collection is inspired by modern abstract art: layers, digital, bold geometry, colour blends.
Ethnic collection
Width: 8-20 mm
Moodboard: the collection is inspired by rock drawings (so called petroglyphs) and pottery drawings that represent lizards made by Native Americans.
