Sole redesign

Created when I was R&D in Lizard footwear. In collaboration with Vibram design team.
Challenge
Redesign the best seller sole of the brand, creating a modern look without losing the distinctive identity of the old one and adding more comfort for everyday urban activities.
Outcome
Sole with lug design that provides traction on wet and dry terrains.
More cushioning: the sole has a 5 mm soft EVA insert for unbeatable comfort when you go on the hard city surfaces.
More traction and grip: thanks to Vibram rubber and sophisticated pattern of lugs, it prevents aquaplaning phenomenon, keeps feet firm and stable on the ground even in wet conditions.
Less weight and more flexibility: thanks to the reduced volume of the sole.
